Exposure to mycotoxins in while grazing in the paddock, mouldy conserved forage such as; hay, lucerne, haylage and silage, purchased feeds and stable bedding presents a substantial threat to the health of Equines. Feeding GUT GOODIES at a show is particularly important as horses may be exposed to all of the above while travelling and competing, but is equally important for every day maintenance.
Horses need to be fit and athletic in competition, therefore they are susceptible to higher levels of stress as a result of exercise and travelling which can have a negative effect on the immune system, meaning horses can be particularly susceptible to mycotoxins at this time.
